The High Court of Gujarat has released the official notification for Gujarat High Court Librarian Recruitment 2026 under Advertisement No. RC/B/1458/2026. Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
Bachelor of Library and Information Science or an equivalent degree from a government-recognized university.
A Degree in Law is preferred.
Certificate of basic computer knowledge as prescribed by the State Government.
Sufficient knowledge of English, Gujarati and Hindi.
Minimum 2 years of work experience in a well-organized library after obtaining the degree.
Minimum Age: 21 Years
Maximum Age: 37 Years
Age Calculated As On: 20 October 2026
Age relaxation is applicable to eligible candidates according to the official recruitment rules, subject to an overall maximum age of 45 years.

The selection process consists of two stages:
1. Main Written Examination (100 Marks)
Examination Type: Objective MCQs
Duration: 2 Hours
Total Marks: 100
Negative Marking: 0.33 marks for each wrong or multiple answer.
2. Viva-voce Test / Oral Interview (40 Marks)
Candidates qualifying in the written examination will be considered for the interview stage. Final selection will be based on the combined marks obtained in the written examination and viva-voce test.

English Language and Gujarati Language
General Studies – History, Geography, Science and Current Affairs
Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability
Basic Legal Knowledge
Basic Knowledge of Computer Applications
